The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) is conducted in Singapore annually. For subjects examined in English, Foreign Languages and Non-Tamil Indian Languages, the examining authority is the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate. For subjects such as Mother Tongue Languages, the examining authority is the Ministry of Education, Singapore.
After candidates have received their GCE O’Level Certificate, they may proceed to Junior Colleges, Polytechnics or the Institute of Technical Education for further studies, based on the school’s entry requirement.
GCE O Level Entry Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 15 on 1st January of the examination year.
- Completed GCE ‘N’ at Academic Level.
- Completed Secondary 3 Express education in government school.
- Matured students with year of working experience can be considered to enter GCE ‘O’ Level.
